Today, Stephanie Chevez received the first installment of her educate. scholarship grant! Stephanie is the first individual to be awarded an educate. scholarship, and will start studying medicine at the Catholic University of San Pedro Sula on Monday. This is the first step on Stephanie’s way to her dream of becoming a doctor and we are very excited to be supporting her on this journey!
Stephanie graduated in the top three at her high school, but despite her academic excellence and passion for learning, her family were struggling to allow her to further her education due to the high financial cost. Stephanie’s parents are farmers, and the university tuition in Honduras does not come cheap. However, with the support of educate., Stephanie is thrilled to be able to continue her education at university! In Honduras, for a young woman of her background, the chance to go to university is life-changing.
We are proud to be supporting such a talented and driven young woman, and we have no doubt that she will continue to excel. We wish her all the best as she starts a new academic year as a university student!
